Any managerial, safety or training job on an offshore oil rig

by Jeffrey
(South Africa)

I live in South Africa - what are my chances to find a job in the offshore oil industry? I have 25 - 30 years Production management experience as well as health and safety and training expertise. I am an excellent communicator and leader of people. I am willing and able to learn the industry.

Answer
Chances are slim, you cant be a managerial or safety or training person if you dont know the industry or job itself without experience, and I am afraid age is against you and companies will pass for younger people, if you have formal recognizeable HSE qualifications you might, but only might have a chance.
