Rig Electrician
by: Lalit

Dear Martin
Read your Comment.Oil and gas industry is different in its operation viz 24X7, Downtime et al.
But being an Electrician on board a drilling rig is no different from any Power generating/ distributing, consumer servicing job. The guy has to be knowlegable of drilling operations and their various power requirements. He must have good inter personal skills and command over English language.I started off as an assistant electrician on a land rig and now am a Chief electrician trainee on a Jack up.As I am working in india I am being paid less and taxed heavily, that is why I am looking for an international opening.
Regards
Lalit
