Rig Electrician
by: Lalit

Dear Martin
Read your Comment.Oil and gas industry is different in its operation viz 24X7, Downtime et al.
But being an Electrician on board a drilling rig is no different from any Power generating/ distributing, consumer servicing job. The guy has to be knowlegable of drilling operations and their various power requirements. He must have good inter personal skills and command over English language.I started off as an assistant electrician on a land rig and now am a Chief electrician trainee on a Jack up.As I am working in india I am being paid less and taxed heavily, that is why I am looking for an international opening.

Chief (Rig) Electrician
by: Martin

Dear Sir,
Referring to the position I applied and being a professional in my career, I worked for 24years in the position as an ?Electrical ? beside Chief Electrician, Supervisor & Advisor, etc.? I had handle all type of electrical jobs requested in the requirements independently and worked within a team as a professional team member in my career; To work and grow in a challenging environment, where my career acquired skills would be best used to add value to the organization, which demand hard work and responsibility and justify my potential to establish myself as a competent person and work to achieve the goal of the organization. With my experience in Oil and Gas sector as commissioning, re-commissioning, maintenance, installation and inspection fields, I can accustom to different work environment including Instrumentation with the knowledge in various control systems.
Thanking You,
Martin Fernandes.

SEND CV then and show where and what rigs you worked on, no one and I mkean no one goes to Chief without actually knowing what the rig is about and plan on several years junior experience
