Rig mechanic

by Jeremy Laird
(Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada)

Hi I am an Industrial Mechanic (millwright), I have my journyperson status or Red Seal. I have been working as a mechanic for over 15 years. I have worked in many different feilds of the job from construction to demolition. I am currently working at a pulp mill. I work on pumps, conveyors, screws, presses, fans, rolls, hydrolics, pnumatics, cranes, and mobile equimpment. I am look for a change. I am 35, single, have a valid Pass Port, there is nothing stopping me from working anywhere in the world. I would love to have the chance to work in as many different places as I can. I am not afraid of the heat or the cold, areas in the mill can be as hot as 50 C. and with a good old Canadian winter I have worked outside for 12 hour shifts in -40 C. I am hard working, forward thinking, and always trying to think of new and better ways to do things. I am not to sure where to start and I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction.
