Roughneck Job Wanted
I am Ghanaian and have been hoping to get work on one of the oil rigs in my country. An oil company has come to my town to do a job fair. I have gone through all of the classes and taken some tests. Now the ooil company is telling us we need some certificates before we can work on the rig. They are asking for a significant amount of money and now I suspect this is not legitimate. Maybe you can tell me if they are cheating me or not. I really want to get this job but the money they are asking for is close to impossible for me to get. I truely fear I will give that money over and then get nothing in return. My question is: Does one need certificates in order to work on the rig?
